• Suitable for ages 12 and up. All players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
• Anticipated game duration: 1.5 - 2 hours (could be 3+ hours including wagon and pre-apocalypse activities)
• Physical activity: Expect continuous power walking on grass, gravel, and uneven terrain. Running is forbidden.

How do I play the game?

Is there an age limit?

We strongly recommend ages 12+. While younger players are welcome, they may find the event too frightening and may struggle to follow the rules. Players under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.

Is it outdoors?

Yes. Hell Night is played exclusively outdoors, regardless of weather. After all, the apocalypse isn't likely to be sunshine and rainbows, is it? Dress warm, wear layers, and choose comfortable non-slip footwear.

Will coat check be available?

Yes. The game will begin as darkness falls, so gear up with extra warm clothing and consider bringing a backpack for your essentials.

Is Hell Night wheelchair accessible?

The game area is wheelchair accessible, but game play will take place on grass, gravel, and uneven surfaces.

Do you charge for parking?

Is it transit accessible?

Are tickets refundable?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds. Tickets are transferrable to another guest. Hell Night will proceed rain, snow, or clear, crip moonlight, so dress appropriately.

How long does the game last?

Hell Night typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on how tasty the brains are.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend bringing a backpack with extra layers, gloves, a flashlight or headlamp, and lots of water. If you are even mildly asthmatic, please bring your puffer. Absolutely no weapons or props of any kind are allowed.

Can I touch the actors?

Aside from the gentle tagging required as part of gameplay, touching our Scream Team is not allowed.

Are there physical requirements?

The game involves moderate physical activity, including walking on uneven surfaces and quick decision-making. While running is not allowed, participants should be able to comfortably navigate grass, gravel, and uneven terrain, potentially in snow and icy conditions. It is 2 hours of power walking with lots of stressful encounters in cold air- asthma issues are very common so please bring your puffer, even if you don't think you'll need it.

Can I take photos or videos during the game?

Absolutely! Pleast tag us @HauntedCalgary on social media. A GoPro or similar set up would be pretty epic!

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes, food and drinks will be available for purchase on site, both before and during the game. Stay fueled for survival! Food does not give you any safety though so we highly recommend eating before the game starts!

What should I wear?

We recommend dressing in layers, with comfortable, non-slip, and warm footwear. Expect to be outside after dark in fall weather, which can be cold and unpredictable. Practical clothing is encouraged.

Can I participate if I am pregnant or have health concerns?

This is best discussed with your doctor. The game takes place over uneven terrain and requires moderate physical activity. There is a high risk of falls so we do not recommend this activity for pregnant guests or people who would have difficulty with the physical requirements of the game. Those with other health concerns should carefully assess the physical demands of the game before participating. While the event does not require running, it requires a lot of power walking with lots of stressful encounters in cold air- asthma issues are very common so please bring your puffer, even if you don't think you'll need it.

Will there be restroom facilities available?

Yes, there are washrooms on site. We recommend using the facilities before the game begins, as gameplay may take about 2 hours. No, you can't hide in the bathroom.

Are there any rules for interactions with actors?

Yes, please remember that all actors are there to enhance the experience. Do not touch any of the actors, props, or other participants, and they will not touch you unless explicitly stated as part of game play (tagging).
