Louisa Lama-Aknin is a French contemporary visual artist living in New York City. She uses her visual art to evoke happiness, peace, and resilience. With her latest project - Terra Futura – paintings are paired with interactive, short videos from young people across the globe to share messages of hope for our home planet inspired by the environmental goals of the United Nations 2030 Horizon initiative.

Educators will receive a private tour of the Terra Futura exhibition, led by the artist. Following the tour, teachers will take part in a hands-on application of an activist-themed lesson plan to take back to the classroom. Schools will be invited to submit student response works to be displayed at the CAC in January 2025.

Brunch and mimosas will be provided from 10:00-10:30. Educators are welcome to use this time for networking. Workshops are open to teachers, community-based arts educators, and pre-service students. Non-members $5.00; CAC Members and pre-service educators are free. Space is limited and reservations are required. The tour will start promptly at 10:30 am.
