In this four-week workshop you’ll learn all about our Guilty Pleasures soap opera format: three non-consecutive improvised soap opera episodes, each inspired by a suggestion from the audience. BATS performed this improv format in SF Sketchfest last year to huge success. Learn its secrets for yourself! We’ll work on:

• The types of characters, relationships, and tropes of a typical American soap
• Playing with scene structure and creating separate narratives within an episode
• Using movement to enhance and punctuate dialog
• Going deeper with emotion

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy

• If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
• If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, or any time after your first class session, your tuition will be forfeit.

In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.
