Class size: 12 students maximum
Prerequisite: F5 or equivalent experience required.

Snark. Status. Strangeness. The alchemy of envy and manipulation seems unlikely to turn viciousness into comedy, but such is the magic of Harold Pinter. Improvising as our own worst selves, we will juggle the mask of social niceities with the demons beneath it that wish to torment, but never so overtly as to be discovered. Learn to craft monologues that seem to ramble, but actually create an atmosphere of menace; practice exchanges punctuated by pauses that are all pregnant with subtext. Repression, oppression and obsession all dance in equal glee at the party that is Pinter. Come learn to improvise this rich mid-century British theatre style with BATS faculty Rebecca Stockley and Brian Lohmann.

Summer Youth and Adult Sessions cancellation policy:
- If you cancel more than 14 days (2 weeks) before your first class, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
- If you cancel within 14 days (2 weeks) of your first class, or any time after your first class session, your tuition will be forfeit.
In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.

Refund Policy:
BATS Improv Class Refund Policy If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee. If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, or any time after your first class session, your tuition will be forfeit. In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.
Cancellation Policy:
An event can only be canceled by the venue and/or event organizer. If the venue or event organizer cancels an event, you will be refunded within 4 business days of the event date for your purchase.
