In 2013, Dave Dennison created a 6 month curriculum for his approach to improv, called the Method of the Moment. The title had two meanings: a systematic approach to improv that placed being present as the highest principle and an approach that was dynamic, that had the possibility of changing from moment to moment. Dave cycled through the curriculum 9 times, revising it every time. In May and June of 2025 Dave led two sold out intensives based on the Method of the Moment.

This two day intensive will look at the five basic improv principles of the Method of the Moment:

Be Present

Explore

Agree and Add

More Than Talking

Share Control

If you took the first Method of the Moment Intensive there will be lots of new ideas (and Handouts!) in this class. If you missed the first intensive, you'll have no problem jumping into this class. This intensive is open to all students who have completed Foundation 4 (or coach approval).
