Senri Oe, a Japanese pop star and singer-songwriter, has transitioned into a jazz pianist in New York. This will be his first appearance in San Jose as the leader of his own powerful trio, accompanied by Oe's close musical brother, Ross Pederson (drums), and Matt Clohesy (acoustic bass). Ross has been performing with the acclaimed Manhattan Transfer, and Matt is an active jazz bass player on Broadway. Senri Oe Trio is a well-known performer at Blue Note Tokyo, Blue Note Hawaii, and at Birdland in New York.
