Booksmith presents: Silent Reading Party (March)

The Booksmith

1727 Haight St, San Francisco, CA, 94117

From $5.00

Tue, March 31st, 2026 @ 7:00PM PDT

No small talk. No awkward silences. Just reading in a bookstore afterhours with a few dozen strangers. Beer and wine for sale courtesy of The Alembic along with complimentary hot tea! Bring your own book or buy one when you get here.

Check-in will start at 7pm. The quiet hour begins at 7:15.

See you at the shop!

Tickets start at $5.

In honor of the Trans Day of Visibility and in response to recent proposed legislation that would seek to ban trans stories from shelves, we will be donating all ticket sales to Authors Against Book Bans:

a coalition of writers, illustrators, anthology editors and contributors, and other book creators, stand united against the deeply unconstitutional movement to limit the freedom to read.
