Where's Johnny? Why, he’s right here at Flounders Brewery, of course. That's right, folks, on Tues. Oct 28 the Brewery barn is the opulently ominous Overlook Hotel. And you won't have to "give your goddamn soul for a glass of beer." Grab a pint of Danny's Big Wheel or Gold Room Lager or Redrum Ela (aka Murder Ale, get it?), then settle in for the scariest 55 minutes of your life.
It ain't dinner theater, it's BEER THEATER! Sip your suds every time Danny says Tony.
ABOUT: With his family in tow, frustrated writer Jack Torrance takes a job as the winter caretaker at the mountain-locked Overlook Hotel. Settling into a routine, Danny big wheels his way through the empty corridors, while Jack holes up with his black Remy and Wendy makes unwanted cheese sandwiches. When Danny is plagued by violent visions of the past, a blocked Jack starts visiting the Gold Room bar for a few visions of his own. Frightened by her husband's increasingly volatile behavior (and Danny's shocking discovery in Room 237), Wendy sobs and smokes and soon finds out what Jack has really been doing in his study all day.
STARRING: Jeff Maschi as Jack Torrance; Danielle Illario as Wendy Torrance, Danny Torrance (and Tony, the boy who lives in Danny's mouth), and Carlyle Owens as Mr. Ullman (the hotel manager), Lloyd (the Gold Room Bartender), Delbert Grady (the former caretaker), and assorted other characters.
WITH: costumes, theatrical lighting, music, fog machine, and, of course, extensive sound effects.
PLUS: a special introduction by Lee Pfeiffer, editor of Cinema Retro Magazine. And Danielle Illario sings Al Bowlly's "Midnight, the Stars & You" from the movie soundtrack.
PAST Flounder Brewery Beer Theater productions include: The Devil & Daisy Dirt, Twin Peaks, and Jaws.
